Iseni (or Izeni) fish hooks

are a popular, versatile pattern of fishing hooks originating from Japan, widely used for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. They are favored by anglers for their fine gauge, razor-sharp points, and high hooking efficiency when using live or cut bait

Design: Iseni hooks typically feature a straight or slightly curved shank with an inwardfacing point. This specific inward angle makes it 

incredibly difficult for a fish to shake the hook once it is set. 

Material: They are usually made from forged, high carbon steel, making them both lightweight and strong.

Versatility: They come in a wide range of sizes (commonly 3# to 12#) and are highly effective for targeting species like bream,  bass, trout, carp, and various panfish.

Styles: Traditionally available in gold, black, or silver. The "gold finish" on Iseni (or Izeni) fishing hooks typically refers to a thin, corrosion-resistant electroplated coating—often a layer of gold over a nickel base. This finish adds a premium, reflective color that enhances visibility in the water and provides superior and corrosion resistance   in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
